The Omnipod 5 System requires either the included Omnipod 5 Controller or OmniPod 5 App on a compatible smartphone to operate—you can't run both at the same time. If you switch between the two devices, the algorithm won't adjust, and your insulin delivery history and settings won't transfer. We suggest you upload your recent data to Glooko and keep a record of your settings for easy transition.
Deactivate any currently worn Pod before activating a new one since a Pod cannot communicate with two devices simultaneously. For a seamless transition between devices, try to time the switch with a scheduled Pod change.
